Ahmed is an Accredited Mulligan Concept Teacher and an international instructor in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and Dry Needling. He founded Therapy & Rehab Centers in Hurghada in 2016 and the Academy of International Medical Seminars (AIMS) in 2019.

He has delivered more than 450 professional courses across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Sudan, Libya, Tunisia, Jordan, and Turkey, specializing in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (OMT), Dry Needling, Sports Physiotherapy, and Painful Spine Conditions.

Physiotherapist and sports rehabilitation specialist with over a decade of experience spanning clinical practice, elite sports medicine, and professional leadership. Holds a BSc and MSc from Cairo University and a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Arcadia University, USA (2019), and completed the American Board requirements in New York State in 2017.

Across his career in elite basketball, he served as President of the Medical Committee for the Egyptian National Basketball Teams (2016–2020) and led the Medical Committee of Sporting Club's basketball team (2019–2020). He was team physiotherapist for Sporting Club's senior basketball team (2012–2020) and previously for Gezira Sporting Club's first basketball team (2009–2012).

He holds a Professional Diploma in Team Sports Injuries from the Barça Innovation Hub and the FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine, and has completed specialized training in ACL rehabilitation, return to play, isokinetic testing, workload management, manual therapy, ultrasonography, and advanced dry needling.

As Co-Founder and Senior Physiotherapist at Kinetix Clinics, he delivers individualized rehabilitation programs, functional assessment, and return-to-sport reporting for orthopaedic and ACL-related cases. He previously served as a Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Physical Therapy, Al-Hayah University, with more than four years of academic experience across Orthopaedic Physical Therapy, Anatomy, Biomechanics, Kinesiology, Neurology, and Electrotherapy. He is a Certified Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Therapist and a Certified Ergonomics Specialist, with expertise in workplace assessment, injury prevention, and occupational health. As Director of Aquatic Rehabilitation Consultants (Netherlands) and co-founder of the International Aquatic Therapy Faculty (IATF) in Switzerland, he has trained professionals in over 50 countries through nearly 1,000 seminars.

Johan emphasizes “learning by reasoning and doing,” combining case-based learning with the latest research to enhance clinical decision-making. He has played a central role in the internationally recognized Advanced Studies in Aquatic Therapy (CAS) and holds teaching positions in China (Zhongshan Vocational College) and Spain (University of Castilla-La Mancha).

His background includes leading aquatic therapy at the Sint Maartenskliniek (1979–1997), research at KU Leuven (2006–2016), and key involvement in EU and WHO projects on aquatic therapy and water safety.
