The Sports Injuries Program is a comprehensive training program designed to prepare physiotherapists and sports health professionals to effectively assess, manage, rehabilitate, and safely return athletes to sport following injury.
The program covers injury classification, prevention strategies, on field injury management, and evidence based rehabilitation for common sports injuries. Participants will develop strong clinical reasoning skills through focused assessment and differential diagnosis of ankle, knee, hip, groin, shoulder, elbow, and spine conditions.
Emphasis is placed on practical application, including sports first aid, CPR, concussion management, sports taping, manual therapy, rehabilitation planning, strength and conditioning, and return to sport decision making. The course integrates real clinical cases and group discussions to ensure effective translation of knowledge into clinical practice.
The program is delivered through a blended learning format combining online educational materials with extensive face to face practical training.
Credit Hours overview:
Block 1 = Online pre-recorded visual and reading material.
Block 2,3 and 4 = 9 Face to Face practical teaching days.
